Neil Kingsnorth lives in west Wales where he writes and works with community groups and trees.
Over the last 25 years he’s searched for ways that we might reverse our impacts on the Earth and build community resilience. He’s been Head of Activism for Friends of the Earth and CEO of The Orchard Project. He’s blocked roads, locked himself to fences and organised protests. He’s co-designed nature-based gardens and community growing spaces and he’s taught permaculture and orchard skills. He now co-runs a social enterprise and a heritage fruit tree nursery.
The lessons he’s drawn from this ongoing search are what informs his work, his outlook and his writing today.
Neil lives with a wonderful wife and daughter, and a rambunctious dog.
